I Don’t Have It All Together, But I Do Have a Spreadsheet

Ever start your Monday morning with a panic attack? Yelp review would be zero out of five stars. It sets the week off for an uphill climb. When life gets chaotic there is a need to break out the spreadsheets to categorize and evaluate what needs to get done. So when life gives you anxiety - turn it into a spreadsheet. If a spreadsheet is not your jam - then you can find something else that may help. Maybe it is just a checklist that lives out on the counter that you can write down your thoughts or something of the similar. At times there may be a need for an agenda, something like a planner can really help.

Utilizing and implementing a variety of spreadsheet tools can be the ability to establish some sources of peace in a world that can feel chaotic. Having a financial crisis? Spreadsheet. The calendar needs to be everywhere and a printout tool is needed. Spreadsheet (there is even a template). Upcoming trip? Spreadsheet!! When in the down column file it so you can find some peace within the chaos. Working through a spreadsheet can bring a lot of catharsis on how to maintain the levels of organization and achieve the ultimate goals of remaining calm, cool and collected (or at least appearing that way).

Analyzing data no matter what it is can help bring in a sense of chaos. Some of the key tools that keep my life together are something as simple as a Google sheet that can be reached from just about any device. While this blog is somewhere that I can be creative - you can bet that I have a spreadsheet that details when and what blogs will be posted. Spreadsheets are a tool that I like to use everywhere because of the ability to manipulate the information to gather the thoughts I have based on a variety of subjects.

Ultimately not everyone likes a spreadsheet (in my book you are weird and should seek help) but for me between this and a note in the note app can lay out and show everything I need and want to get accomplished. Overall having somewhere to rack tasks, and mark them off is key sometimes finding peace within the chaos. The ability to have a consolidated area with details budgets and things to do means that ultimately I can appear calm within this chaos.

These things may not work for everyone but my advice to anyone who has meltdowns or moments when life gets to be too much, make a spreadsheet. Make sure that you have a way to line things up and then knock them down. Even in the midst of the crazy, there is a way to be delighted in avoid that downward spiral. You can look up a variety of templates that may help you categorize and deal with whatever a hot point might be. I might not have it all together, but at least I know where I put my to-do list.
